sol15 #18: taste the rainbow

This morning I woke up still groggy from the Nyquil I took last night. Traffic was awful and it took me an extra 15 minutes to get to work. Plus, I procrastinated on things I needed to get done for a meeting I had right when I got to work. All of this put me in a wretched mood.

As I'm gathering my things for my meeting, in comes Jennie, the 3rd grade teacher across the hall. She has a bag of my favorite candy - Skittles! All for me. It was pure joy at that moment. She knows I eat gluten-free, and since she brought in donuts for the rest of our floor, she was kind enough to get me some candy. :)

Jennie, thank you! You totally flipped my day around. I am enjoying these colorful, little bursts of sugar as I write this!

  1. HA! I read the post title and my first thought was "This better be about skittles!" and it was. What a considerate and thoughtful colleague.

  2. How sweet! Skittles are the best!

  3. How lucky you are to have such a considerate colleague! Glad your day turned around!

  4. You're so welcome! I was inspired by Jill's post yesterday.

  5. I love how a Random Act of Kindness can totally transform a day!
