This morning I woke up still groggy from the Nyquil I took last night. Traffic was awful and it took me an extra 15 minutes to get to work. Plus, I procrastinated on things I needed to get done for a meeting I had right when I got to work. All of this put me in a wretched mood.
As I'm gathering my things for my meeting, in comes Jennie, the 3rd grade teacher across the hall. She has a bag of my favorite candy - Skittles! All for me. It was pure joy at that moment. She knows I eat gluten-free, and since she brought in donuts for the rest of our floor, she was kind enough to get me some candy. :)
Jennie, thank you! You totally flipped my day around. I am enjoying these colorful, little bursts of sugar as I write this!
A little peek inside my life as a literacy coach, mom to the cutest toddler ever, and wife to an amazing husband.
