sol15 #21: #fail

On Fridays, when I get home from work, I make it a point to not open my computer. Because of this routine, I completely forgot to post! Oops! I woke up this morning and the first thought that came to my mind was, "Oh no! I failed the Slice of Life challenge!"

When I first thought about doing this challenge, I told myself that I would be satisfied if I posted half of the days in March. My husband encouraged me to do them all, and I was on a roll until yesterday :(

Oh well, spending time with my husband and pup last night after a busy week, and falling asleep on the couch at 8:30 was worth it. :)

  1. Rather than a fail, I would call it a slip of exhaustion. You got "right back on the horse" so to speak; so, you are back in action.

  2. I can imagine your frustration, and love that your post shows the journey of thought from this frustration to the positive perspective you finished with. Way to get right back in!

  4. No, not a fail - just a moment to reflect and rest. Now you can finish strong! Keep writing!

  6. I applaud your discipline to enjoy your Friday evening and not open the computer. I was reading Brene Brown who views our obsessive tie to electronics (I'm guilty) as numbing. It has got me to thinking....

  8. At least you are back! From experience, it is very easy to just give up, but you didn't. You even posted and 'fessed up to not posting. That is something that a lot of people wouldn't do. Good for you!

  9. A lot of months only have 30 days, so I think you can still consider it a month of writing!

  10. Ohhh Jennie makes a good point. I'm down two posts now because I also didn't write yesterday. What about 29 days? What? only once every four years? Either way, we're doing lots of writing!! :-)

  11. Sometimes something else is truly more important! I won't slice on Sundays, however, Saturday night I preschedule a post for that day. You could do this and still keep your vow to not open your computer Friday evenings.

  12. I think not opening the computer one day a week is an important rule. I need to put up some boundaries after the slice is over. xo
